Why Cheat India – Emraan Hashmi changes gear with realistic film
Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi was known for his serial-kissing until now when he has finally realized that there is more to acting than just making love, onscreen. The Jannat actor’s latest offering Why Cheat India is his own production features him in a lead role and discusses an important issue that’s common in India – the education system that needs to be revised. He has managed to do a decent job without going for his usual shenanigans for a change.
The film revolves around Rocky (Emraan Hashmi) who plays a modern day Robin Hood (in his own mind) by helping poor students by making them sit in examinations for rich kids and get paid for that. He claims that his act is helping those who can afford and those who can’t and the way he describes it, you feel as if he is doing the right thing. Does he get caught or does the list of his beneficiaries increase, watch the film for answers. The dialogues are the film’s highlight and take you back in the 90s, the era in which the events of the film take place.
The film features newer actors making Emraan Hashmi’s character look big; he leaves a lasting impression on the minds of all those who see him as a lover boy. In fact, he makes you empathize with his character for finding the loopholes in the education system, and if the Indian government doesn’t change their stand for entry examinations, people like Rocky might continue their ‘good’ work, making the poor rich, and the rich, happy!
